Cleaning up and organizing can inspire thoughts of a new way to look at your closet, room, or area and opens up a whole new path to change. Inspiration might be a room you see in a magazine or just one section of a room. How about a combination of colors that might inspire you? The use those colors in things that surround you. The bold colors of small appliances for your kitchen could start you thinking in a whole new way. Use your neutrals for the big things and bring “pop” into a room with new color. It could be nature’s blending of colors that can be the beginning of a whole new scheme. What you select is your own unique look which works with the way you live, work and play.

By the Book
Your bookshelves can be the highlight of a room when you put some thought into using them as a decorating element. We are used to placing books of similar heights together but how about using color to organize them. Try arranging by color, dark to light. Or standing some up while others can rest flat on the shelves. Add in a few new photographs, small accessories, and a few whimsical mementos and you can have a new look and add punch to your decorating scheme.

Hanging Out in Your Closet
You spend a lot of money on your clothes, so they should hang well in your closets. What will make that work? You need the correct hanger!
- Hangers that are wood and curved are perfect for suits.
- Cedar hangers help repel pests such as moths and absorb excess moisture,
- Padded hangers are for delicate knits, evening wear and special outfits and
- Multiple and tiered hangers work well when space is at a premium.
- Colorful tubular hangers are useful for designating types of clothing
- Multi-tiered pants hangers help sort out scarves and belts.

Get A Handle On Your Hardware
Want a different look for your cabinets without the replacement expense? Just change the hardware! There are so many options out there whether you shop online or in stores. You can find anything from animals and human forms to flowers or colored glass. This need not apply only to your kitchen, but to any other room where you have cabinets – a bathroom, family room, or home office. Please note the relative size and placement of screw holes on existing hardware so you get something the right size.
